This midweight version of our iconic Cruiser is made for use in dry conditions. The 9.5-oz. cotton is modeled after the material used for vintage military fatigues. We’ve lightened it for use in warmer weather by removing the double-layer back panel and pocket. The four front cargo pockets are protected by snapped flaps, and a slotted utility pocket is layered on the left chest. The front and adjustable cuffs secure with durable buttons.
The Cruiser design was patented in 1914. Made from heavy, warm wool, it was engineered for foresters and became a favorite of the U.S. Forest Service, generations of sportsmen, and anyone who enjoys being outdoors. This new cotton variation extends the Cruiser’s useful comfort range into the shoulder seasons. It serves equally well as a chore coat, work jacket, or everyday utility coat. Garment-dyed and prewashed for a broken-in feel from the first day.
